SURGE was a live, ticketed experience at the Sage, Gateshead. Audiences were invited into a free-roam immersive environment comprised of huge LED panels, spatial audio, olfactory omissions and real-time motion capture performances from live actors. Two audience members and two performers experienced the piece in VR. The music was composed by Mercury prize-winner Anna Meredith.
